Angela G. Lim is licensed in both Texas and California and federal courts. She started her legal career clerking for a Bankruptcy Judge in Dallas, Texas. Her experience has also included practicing in law firms as well as providing counsel to large multi-national technology companies and small venture-backed firms. For the past eight years, she has been involved in venture backed companies focusing on Digital Health.
Ms. Lim serves as the Deputy General Counsel at Viz.ai, Inc., which is involves using artificial intelligence in healthcare to detect strokes. Viz recently closed its B round of funding for $50 million. Its investors include Green Oaks Ventures, Kleiner Perkins, and Google Ventures. She is also General Counsel for Grasshopper Ventures Group, Inc. which recently closed its seed round of funding. Grasshopper is a manufacturer of AgTech devices which are used measure the soil and environment for indoor agriculture. She is a graduate of the University of Texas and University at Austin and of the University of Houston Law Center. She is also a co-chair of the NAPABA LGBTQ Network. She has held legal positions at VeriSign, PeopleSoft, Successfactors, and Castlight Health. Ms. Lim is the founder of the LGBTQ Employee Resource Groups of both “The Family” at Castlight Health and “E-Quality” at Grand Rounds. Ms. Lim has spoken on many panels for the American Corporate Counsel Association, NQAPIA, NAPABA, and several Silicon Valley organizations.
