Jaclyn Gross

Jaclyn is a rising 3L at UC Hastings.  She grew up in the East Bay and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Film & Digital Media Production from UC Santa Cruz.  After a career in Los Angeles working in entertainment production, she returned to the Bay Area to pursue a Juris Doctor Degree.  

She currently serves as President of OUTLAW, Hastings’ resident LGBTQ organization, and as Assistant Regional Chair for the National LGBT Bar Association’s Law Student Congress.  This year she worked as a Staff Editor for the Hastings Law Journal, and next year will serve as Senior Symposium Editor.  She is also Co-Chair for the UC Hastings Green Campus Task Force and a Sack Teaching Fellow for Torts.  She was recently awarded Student Leader of the Year for 2017 by the UC Hastings Office of Student Services. 

She spent her 1L summer at East Bay Children’s Law Offices, working in juvenile dependency law.  This year, she will be joining Seyfarth Shaw as a Labor & Employment Summer Associate.  In the fall, she will extern for The Honorable Jon S. Tigar of the Northern District of California.  

In her free time, she enjoys photography, music, sports, traveling, and hanging out with her dog, Bader.
