The 2012 Lavender Law Conference and Career Fair will be held August 23-25, 2012 at the Washington Hilton Hotel in Washington, DC . The annual event is a gathering of prominent members of the LGBT legal community and is attended by hundreds of practicing attorneys, corporate counsel, legal scholars, law students and members of the judiciary.
The three-day event draws over 1,500 attendees and features workshops on topics such as employment and labor law, transactional business practice, constitutional law, diversity on the bench, family law, HIV/AIDS, immigration and leveraging diversity in today's economic climate. This year's programming will continue to focus on continuing legal education (CLE) opportunities for attendees, including intellectual property, patents, trademarks, corporate governance, complex business litigation and employment law issues from both the management and plaintiffs' perspective, among other matters.
