The San Francisco LGBT Center is celebrating its ninth anniversary by taking over the beautiful San Francisco Design Center Galleria on Saturday, March 26, 2011 from 7:00-11:00 PM for a one-of-a-kind celebration that channels the glamour, romance, and Dolce Vita spirit of Rome in the 1960s. Treat your senses to the sights, sounds, aromas and tastes of this distinctive era. Think Sophia Loren, Marcello Mastroianni, Vespa, Fiat, Ennio Morricone, Spaghetti Westerns, Roman Holiday.
Enjoy a showcase of talented performance art, dance and music by leading Bay Area Entertainers including Boylesque, Fauxnique, Gay Asian Pacific Alliance Men’s Chorus, Glamamore, Honey Mahogany, Leigh Crow, Martha Lipton the Failed Actress, Miss Honey, Miss Rahni, Monistat, Veronica Klaus and DJ collective Honey Sound System, DJ Stanley Frank and DJ Nolita Selector. Plus, a custom video series by queer filmmaker Marc Adelman, inspired by celebrated Italian filmmaker Federico Fellini. There will also be food from renowned San Francisco restaurants and a silent auction.
