Ernest is actively engaged in efforts to advance DEI in the legal community including as a former CMCP Ambassador, Co-Chair At Large for the Minority Bar Coalition (MBC) of the SF Bay Area, Barristers Club Diversity Director for the Bar Association of San Francisco (BASF), and Men of Color Project Member for the American Bar Association. Ernest is recognized for his leadership in DEI, having been named recipient of BASF’s 2022 Barristers Diversity Award and MBC’s 2022 Unity Award. He is also an active advocate for access to justice in his community, serving on the boards of the Child Care Law Center and UnCommon Law.
