Aditi Fruitwala

Aditi_FruitwalaDuring a kindergarten career day, Aditi announced to the class that she wants to be a rainbow when she grows up so she can “come out after the rain and make everything okay.” Due to practical difficulties in achieving that dream, she now attends law school at the University of San Francisco. As a BALIF student rep, she hopes to serve as a strong voice for students in the bay area and increase student attendance at BALIF events.

Aditi graduated from American University in 2007 and moved to Bangkok to teach English. After traveling around Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Southern Africa for a few years, she received an M.Sc. In Social Anthropology from the London School of Economics. She then worked as a project manager at a charity challenge organization in Sydney.

Aditi is now preparing for her 2L year at the University of San Francisco School of Law. At USF, she serves as a Co-Chair of the Pride Law Association, an editor of the Law and Global Justice Forum, Co-Founder of the Law Students for Reproductive Justice, and a Moot Court Case Counsel. She will spend her summer working with the Institute for Justice & Democracy in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.

Aditi’s interests include traveling, volunteering, and obsessing about San Francisco’s beauty.
