VABANC/BALIF Joint Scholarship Seeking Applicants--Deadline Extended

The Vietnamese American Bar Association of Northern California (VABANC) and Bay Area Lawyers for Individual Freedom (BALIF), have partnered to create a new scholarship to promote diversity in the Northern California legal community. The organizations will jointly award a $3,000 scholarship to a law student who demonstrates a commitment to serving the Vietnamese American and LGBT community. Any candidate living in the United States may apply but preference will be given to those who live in Northern California.

The scholarship recipient will be recognized on October 7, 2011 at the VABANC scholarship dinner to be held at Dynasty Restaurant in San Jose, California.

Candidates must submit: (1) a resume and three references and (2) a one-page personal statement in Microsoft Word or PDF to Hien Doan at scholarship@vabanc.org by 5:00 PST by September 28, 2011.
